Tim Miller

TIM MILLER is an original ensemble member that rejoined the company in 2008 upon returning from New York City with his wife, ensemble member Leavey Ballou, and their son Nolan. At The Artistic Home, he first appeared onstage as Al Royce in David Rabe’s in In The Boom Boom Room, followed by Angel CityClash By Night, and Days to Come. He directed Incomplete and Random Acts of Kindness and served as Producer on Artistic Home productions of Angel City, as well as the hit shows Juno and the Paycock and Look Homeward, Angel.

Past work has included:  Off-Off Broadway at the Ohio Theater in Testimony with the Israeli troupe LeeSaar, Soft Target and Jeff winner Only The Sound with Chicago Dramatists, A Soldier’s Play and King Of Coons with Congo Square Theatre Ensemble, multiple Jeff winner Rosemary with Prop Thtr in the role of John F. Kennedy, and Pentecost by Stewart Parker with Irish Repertory.  He was an ensemble member of the former Center Theater where he worked on Simon Gray’s Butley, Brilliant Traces, The Years, The Rose Tattoo and The Dining Room. Other appearances include Henry VI, Part I at Greenview Arts Center, Motherlove at Café Voltaire, Pastorale at Red Bones Theater. Tim also performed for three solid years at ImprovOlympic on the house team The Lost Yetis during a remarkable stretch of time and people under the eye of Del Close in the early 90s.  

 

On camera he has appeared in the films The Immaculate Misconception, Jell-ohh Lady, Draggage, To The Moon, Desert Water, Interchange and Fight The Power.  Television appearances include Unsolved Mysteries, E/R and One Life To Live.  Off camera, he wrote the screenplay for John Mossman’s Jell-ohh Lady, as well as composed an original score for the festival hit film Draggage.  He also wrote the drug awareness script Choices receiving a Telly Award, and received critical acclaim for his one act 8-Point, featuring ensemble member Pete Fitzsimmons in the 2002 Cut To The Chase.  Tim is a graduate of Purdue University and currently resides with his family in Chicago.

 

Tim can be seen in the upcoming Days to Come, on stage starting October 18th.
