Mark Pracht was raised in the mountains near Colorado Springs, Colorado. He is Alumni of the University of Nebraska, Kearney, and was a company member of the Sheleterbelt Theatre in Omaha, Nebraska. During that time, he helped develop and produce seven world premiere productions, including his own full-length play, NEON. He’s worked as an actor, director and playwright in the Chicago theatre community since 2001, working with companies including A Red Orchid Theatre, Strawdog Theatre Company, Babes With Blades, and he was a company member of Stage Left Theatre Company. Favorite roles include McMurphy in One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest (Open Eye Productions), Milt Shanks in The Copperhead, The Creature in Frankenstien (both City Lit Theatre), Lanfield in Blizzard ‘67(16 th Street Theatre), Thomas in The Seedbed (RedTwist Theatre), as well as Frank in The School for Lies, and McCarthy in The Time of Your Life both right here on The Artistic Home stage.
