The Cinema Arts Test Kitchen

The Cinema Arts Test Kitchen is an eight week class where you will collaboratively develop an original short screenplay with award winning Chicago filmmaker Kenneth Yoder. As we develop our scripts we will also discuss the basics of film production with a mind toward being resourceful with everything we have access to in our everyday lives. After the eight weeks development class is completed, we will actually go out into the world and produce these projects and you will end up with a gem for your acting reel.

Our Meisner-based series is designed to be taken in order from Tech 1 - Tech 4. Tech 1 requires a quick application followed by a phone interview prior to registration. After each class session students receive a private evaluation with the instructors. To receive the full benefits and artistic growth of these classes we request that all students take the series in order. After you have completed all 4 classes you are welcome to return to any class when you feel you need a brush-up.
